I have gave up on my Bose Audi stereo and have decided to go aftermarket. The volume **** doesn't work, the cd player doesn't work, and my one and only radio station here has drove me over the edge.

So I'm getting this Alpine one. I understand that is one of the better ones out there.



I'm getting it so it runs the ipod and satellite radio all through the lcd and there is no wires anywhere.

Anyone have any input on it?

 

Don't have it personally but a few friends do, i'll ask what they think of it.

Everyone I know loves it, they say the iPod integration is awesome. Only thing some people complain about is the lack of a CD drive but if thats not a prob. for you i'd say go for it.

Was wondering if you got the Apline iDA-X100 yet?? If so, how do you like it??
Was wondering if the stereo display in the center of your instrument cluster still display radio station and other info??

I put one of these in my 2000 Dodge Ram, and it works great. Don't miss the CD player at all since I have the iPod hookup. Got the HD Radio tuner too, that is nice. Also, got the Bluetooth, still playing with that. Overall good investment.

Just bought a 2006 S4 and looking to upgrade the stereo so it can also play iPod. Thinking of looking into a later year factory stereo or Alpine IVA-W505/P1.

Would love to see a picture of the iDA-X100 installed in your Audi.
