Induction cleaning for intake valves

Induction cleaning for intake valves
I have a very close friend who is a mechanic at a dealership in KW. To protect his confidentiality, I will leave certain details out. He holds master technician certifications for two japanese auto makers...
He is, by no means, a VAG specialist - but he's been taking apart / rebuilding engines for over 30 years. I recently bought a 2007 Audi A4 and he's been doing services on them (it's a steep learning curve, but he figured it out! - think brakes...)
Anyways, the reason I'm posting this is that the dealership he works at now in KW allows their mechanics to bring friends' cars in on evenings.
Here's the best part - the dealership he works at does the BG Induction Cleaning!! - I learned about it just now!!
I'm about to get mine done - now...the strict rule is that the "mechanic nights" are for friends only - no $$ is allowed to be exchanged. Mind you, I do pay him for the work done ($15 labour oil change...$10 labour tire rotation etc). He's a great honest guy, so if you ever need any work done in KW - just PM me and it's a win win!! For general work, he charges about $40-$50/hour.
Screw stealerships!!

Re: Induction cleaning for intake valves
Well...I did it tonight - here's a quick synopsis...
I ended up doing most of the work myself - it was neat
Package came with 3 bottles
1) BG 44K
2) Induction System Clean
3) Intake clean
I followed these instructions:
BG Fuel Induction Demo on Audi 2.0FSI Engine on Vimeo
And then, I proceeded to do an oil change - from Castrol 5w40 to German Castrol 0w30 (if you don't know what this is - stop reading now and go away....b/c there are plenty of other threads on BITOG)
Here's the kick in the can:
During the induction system clean, I hooked up my car to Vag-com and saw it threw about 4 codes (multiple cylinder misfires...) - no biggie, was expected...but
After I get the oil change done...it was still there.
I was freakin panicking - absolutely like....AHHHH!
My mechanic told me to drive up the street and gun it - so I did...
And that made it go away. PHEW - cleared the codes...life moves on...
--
Result: I also bumped my idle to 810RPM today to help with the vibration (25%better).
But with GC + Induction clean - car runs like FREAKING new - (and I didn't buy it new!!). Idles very very well (still no straight 6, but no classical 2.0T shudder either)...very responsive - just feels alive again.
I also take things very subjectively. Some people will rave and rave - but...I try to keep it down to earth. Did it really get better? Or do you think it got better? In this case, it got better.
A few places in KW do it too. I think I paid about $60 in parts alone for the induction system clean. OK Tire in Kitchener does the whole thing for $110.
you can go to BG Findashop and locate it!
Otherwise, PM me
