A6 is back in action. Big thanks to Jordan and VAST performance, ordered a new high perfromance fuel pump at 1pm thursday, shipped from Detroit to my door by 11am fri. Amazing price and incredibly fast. 2 hours of labour and the car is purring again.

 

No offense... but $35 a year for 'membership' to a site that isnt anywhere near as helpful as the ones that are free?
Is this done as a money making plan or for someone who wants to get to know more about their car, and makes friends while doing it. If thats what it costs... see ya round.

 

Not a membership to the website, a membership to the club. As you get discounts at other shops etc so the membership pays itself off in the first visit to Tune Dub or parts From the dealer, or a free vag com scan etc. It is not about money it is about our time to go get these deals etc. and at the end of the year or next year depending how many people join it will go towards a track day, and we make up the rest. I do not think it is asking too much but if you do not want to join then dont simple as that. I am not going to try and convince you it is up to you and thats the only way it opens up these discounts. Also access to software which \i have upfronted my money for to basically fix any audi car and how to take it appart etc. so you decide! Dont come on here and try to insult people and state that it is a scam...obviously you have been missinformed

 

I never once said scam.... that came from you. I asked if it was a money making plan, (business plan?) which most websites are. No one 'misinformed' me about anything. I know sites cost money to host, build and maintain.. It just seems to me like $35 is a little excessive. Are you getting re-imbursed for your time spent then? Sounds like a business to me. When I've gone to help out fellow enthusiasts Im not looking to get re-imbursed for my time... I do it because I enjoy it..not because I have anything to gain.

PS. Im guessing the software is a bentley manual? You can grab that free on the web... VAG? Free on the web... (*provided you purchase a dongle prior) Lemmi-winks? (maybe over your head?) Free on the web...

Either way.. I'll stick to the free sites... where people dont expect something in return.
