Re: CALGARY AUDI CLUB!! Meet & Greet!! April 17th
Hey everyone,
I would like to start off by thanking everybody for coming out tonight and taking the time out of your busy schedual to show up. I am glad that quite a few of you showed up and I know others were preoccupied with "WORK" (AKA the Flames game) but it was all around fun. I have had a few requests and suggestions to make it in a bit more of a remote area as where we were especially with the game on a lot of weird people coming around our cars. So the next one will not be as central as thisone was and will be more of to a certain part of town. I hope that this is okay for everyone as it will alternate places and I will try to accomodate everyone. With the club taking off as it did and todays meet exceeding 15 people I was impressed but also felt guilt for making it on a game night. I am also trying to maintain these meetings during the week as we all have families to go to on the weekends and plans. For the rest of the Club members that did not make it I would also like to thank you for letting me know in advance.
What the future holds for the Calgary Audi Club:
Alright so what my vision is, is to build a community around our cars and the passion for our cars. As we have a wide variety of cars and a broad interest our main focus will be only Audi. I have been speaking with a few local shops, tuners, reps such as APR, GIAC, etc. to get us started on some group discounts. These range from a wide variety of things,as most of us shop on our own and the only way we can ge a "company discount is by buying large", by making a group account and providing everyone with mebership cards and membership discounts we are able to keep our personal shopping with a group discount. All in all who doesnt like some money back in their pocket?
The next meet will be schedualed sometime towards the end of May begining of June and you will all be contacted individually with the phone #'s that were provided to me. As far as track days Race City is shutting down, and we will have to find an alternate track I have looked and the closest decent one to us is about 4 hours away.
Once again these things take a lot of time to establish and if there are any volunteers that are willing to come up with a design for our membership card you are more then welcome to do so. I thank you all once again for staying tuned and coming out tonight it was a great plesure to meet all of you, and hopefully we will see each other next month. Thank you, and drive safe!
Your Buddy,

Sorry I missed out... I bet I was one of the few that wasn't watching the game that didnt come..but I hope to make it to the next one! one thing about having it on 17th... is you will get more exposure then having it in the far SW or NE... with the amount of baller cars on 17th, I would think a bunch of Audi's wouldn't garner that much attention.
Oh, and Race City is still Open this year...
