Default Tire size on B6 S4, need help!

On the standard 18x8 S4 wheels, could I fit a 255-35-18 tire without rubbing, or tire bulging? I just want the wheels to look a bit more meaty.

Normal size is 235-40-18.

Stock suspension? If so then you'll be fine, if lowered then you'll definitely rub. Have you considered using spacers to push the wheels out flush with the body? This provides a more athletic stance - although I dont have spacers, my wheels are ET 35 (8 mm out from hub compared to stock wheels):

Edit: My wheels are also a half inch wider making them a total of approx 13.5 mm further out from hub (half of the extra width plus 8 mm)

Thx! Rims are 20 lbs (forged) - Volk LE37T (19 X 8.5 ET 35 with 235/35 tires).

I know this is a bit old - but it's very relevant to my dilemma.

I have an '08 (B7) Audi S4. Is it reasonable to assume that a 19"x 9" rim with an offset of 35 (the plan is 235/35 tires) will fit without issue?

I can get the wheels in either 8" or 9" width, but just trying to find out if I can get away with them on the front as well (don't want to stagger with AWD).

Currently on stock brakes/suspension, but I may consider lowering slightly if it looks bad on the larger wheels. There isn't too much gap as it is with the stock 18's, so I'm hoping it will look ok and I won't need to drop it.

Thanks in advance

I had some rubbing when I was a shade over 25" so a wider wheel with the same offset will rub if you lower your ride. Also, I'm not sure its a great idea to push the wheels out much farther - mine were very close to flush (take a close look at the pic a few posts up). I'd suggest you go with the 8" wheels to be sure and save the weight.

Thanks for the speedy reply Stevelev!

I think after looking again at your photos, you're right. I'll save a bit of cash as well with the 8"

Your car looks sooooo good - I love the Avant and almost bought one until I found it had a little too "colourful" of a past for my liking.

I think you'll definitely have to go lower with 19s...will look silly

19x9 ET 35 will all depend on the tire. 235 might be fine, but I would submit that it's too stretchy. Go 245. Of course then you're into fitment problems potentially.

What wheels are you looking at?
