Default 2001.5 Audi S4 Stage 3 Questions

Hey guys, I've been looking around for a stage 3 kit. Obviously there are a ton of different kinds, whether its a K04 or a k04/k06 hybrid, or GT turbos or whatever. I have been looking around and there are some places who sell turbos, and fueling separately. And some that have intercoolers separately.

Obviously the full kit from AWE or APR is expensive, upwards of $5,550. Currently, my car is a stage 2, which a GIAC X chip and an full Autospeed true dual exhaust.

Coming from a honda background, I know buy I know that buying things separately may not be the best idea and more often than not may be more costly. So my question are (I'm sure some of these questions might be stupid, but I'm just throwing these out there.):

- Do I have to get a new chip for a stage 3 setup?

- Would there be a huge difference between a setup with Turbos ONLY and turbo and fueling? Is the fueling system mandatory?

- Is it a job worth doing myself or should I leave it to the professionals? I'm mechanically inclined, and have taken engines apart a lot, but not any Audi engines

- Is there any way to get a proper stage 3 setup at a lower cost, but without sacrificing performance?

- Does anyone have any experience with stage 3 kits?

I'd love to hear from you guys.

Thanks!
