Does anyone know what the implications of buying an RS4 in the US and importing it into Canada? From what I can tell the car can be imported without modification, but I don't know if there are tax/duty issues?

$20k is just too much to leave on the table...

Yes, you'll have to pay tax and duty. The biggest PITA is that you'll likely have no warranty here, so you'll have to cross the border for any warranty work.

Quite possibly true, but somehow I think dealers this side of the border may nevertheless go the extra mile and help those who can afford an RS4.

Looks like it would be a hassle to import...

Anyway, I'm going to wait for some NA reviews, and then wait until you can order exactly what you want. Then I'll re-evaluate the decision to buy or not.

You can get the Carrera for just about the same money but that car looks terrible. I'd get the RS4 and I'm deffi going to get one when it arrives in Montreal.
