Rim choices on 2004 S4 Sedan

Re: Rim choices on 2004 S4 Sedan
Just an FYI for anyone who is currently or planning to change rims/rubber in the future. I screwed up. Not badly. I thought that a 245mm rubber would JUST clear the fender....turns out it doesn't. I am going to drive my car until next year then change the rubber over to a 235/35/19 from the 245/35/19 that's currently on there.
I've been doing a little research as it's been 3 months and we are still having vibration issues in the car with the aftermarket rim/rubber combo. Looks like 235's are a safe bet and anything bigger and you've gotta have a higher offset rim (ie >40mm, then use a spacer).
I am also waiting on a set of borla mufflers. I cut out the resonator and it sounds a little better at part throttle. Full throttle sounds rank but carries a similar sound to that of a baseball card in a bmx wheel as it's flitting through it's spokes. I'm hoping the borlas get rid of that. We think the factory dual chamber mufflers valves are wigging out inside with the exhaust flow.....

I wish the pictures i took would do the car more justice. You'd have to see it in person to see how well this chrome design works with the car. I get a lot of attention in this car, and not just from any particular age group of people.
The issues i've had with steering wheel vibration have been sorted out, the rubber/rim combo required a load bearing type balancing. But the issue that still comes up at highway speeds is a slight vibration in the gas pedal and car. I think there is a slight issue with how the rim is "seating" onto the hub of the car. Could be lug nuts, hubcentric rings. Just working to sort that out. Might even wait until next year as within 8-12 weeks i will be doing some winter tire research for my S4 for the stock 18 Avus rims.
