The 4.2 doesnt flex its muscle until much later. I just like the sound of the V8 though

Not at all, ive driven turbocharged (or supercharged?) cars before and they always seem to feel like they are faster. But they also lose power much quicker. The smaller engine + turbo combination would definitely make it feel more snappy.

When Im cruising around and keep the rpm low it drives beautifully, when i step on the gas, the beast lives. I found that previous turbo boosted cars required frequent gear changes and the low end torque was not enjoyable.
I guess it depends what you want out of your car.

exactly. I dont mind too much myself. I wanted a car that had power when i really felt like pushing it, but was comfortable to drive if I didnt want to push it.
