hey - congrats! sorry I didn't get back. PM me in the future if I don't reply right away.

the drone will be evident for sure. piggies or not.

no need to do anything to your ECU. Give it a week or so as it adapts. Happens automatically.

as for me, being 2.5" all flow, it's definitely a bit less droney, but it's a bit louder as well so it's kind of offset in a way. There's a new drone but it's not a bad boomy bassy drone...it's a higher pitched exotic rip. It's from 2000-2800 or so, and it sounds awesome.

My friend filmed my car ripping about and he said it's barely different to before to his ears, so that's interesting. I think it's just louder in the car.

Things to help drone

1. check the torque specs on the exhaust hangers (where the exhaust hangers themselves are bolted to the car's body...they are often OVER tightened, causing more vibration to transfer to the body of the car (and then in turn, to the cabin). Try dialing it down to about 17 ft.lbs of torque. I did that and it helped a bit

2. get some dyna-matt or similar sound deadening material to apply to the metal exposed areas in the trunk around the spare tire well etc. Should DEFINITELY help a bit. There's an A4 owner on audizine who recently went and bought some aluminium/foam stuff from home depot for $17 ( a big roll) and he said it worked WONDERS on reducing his drone. I'm going to give it a shot.

All in all, you'll get used to the drone, and will get better at driving in order to avoid the range. Fortunately it's 1200-2000 or so...a range you aren't often cruising in. For you tip guys highway is around what...2500? (for MT6 it's more like 3000 at 120kmh)

Hey thanks!! I thought about dyno mat...I'll give it a shot too.
For the hangers, I actually removed my entire catback from those bolts ....so I definitely re-torqued them lighter. I don't find the drone as bad but that's probally because I'm getting use to it.
I'll tell you this, I came from riding r1's back in the day, and my first to second gear now reminds me of the old yamaha tac!!! If this car did not have automatic redline shift....I would certainly miss a few times and bang it off the limiter..lol
