To all you B8 drivers, what has your experience been with the car in terms of drive, handling, reliability? Have any of you upgraded to Stasis ECU 410hp software on your car.

I am fairly new and look forward to your replies.

 

Congrats on your purchase! What's with the 5 months delivery? I am sure my local Audi dealer still have a few S4s at their lot.
I have a similar configured S4 with 6MT. I am very happy with the car. The only complaint I have is the occasional brake squeal when easing up on braking near full stop. Other than that the car is near perfect.
I am thinking about Stasis upgrade next spring after all the snow is gone.

 

What kind of problems have you had with the brakes? Has the dealer rectified the squealing sound?

I hope it is not a long term problem as I plan to take the car to the track.

 

Got my B8 2 weeks ago.

I'm experiencing the squeel as well but was told its due to being new pads/router. I'll give it another couple weeks before bringing it in to check out.

Overall, best car I've ever owned/driven. You'll have a blast!

Squeel should be attributed to the cold weather we are getting right now it is the same for me wasnt like this when it was warmer dont think you should worry.

 

YES..... get the Audi Car. Well worth it.

 

Bed in your brakes, and the squeal disappears. Ambient air temp doesn't matter. Mine's 3 weeks old and after a proper bed-in (on day 3), it stopped.

 

I've had my S4 for 1 1/2 months now. I noticed the low spead squeal a few times in the first 2 weeks. It's gone now. I did not *explicitly* bed the brakes and it went away on it's own.

Re: AudiCare, I asked my dealer how much the covered services would cost out of pocket. I think it was a few hundred dollars cheaper to 'pre-pay' for them with AudiCare.
