yeah, my post shouldn't come across hostile...sorry. I just thought it was funny you were so convinced about what to do in avoiding their clutch, when you haven't nailed down other basic stuff.

What tune and fuelling are you going with?

p.s. sorry to hear about the K03s...they tend to get murdered by aggressive tunes on these cars (although it looks like you're APR tuned, so that's odd.)

No I'm sorry, just having a rough day. I'm going to go with asp with 93 octane. Although i really like the vast kit. Still have until Monday to decide. I'm getting excited but also angry because I ordered my cat back from the group buy and there is no news about what's going on and he's not replying to my emails. Getting worried that I got swindled out of 360 bucks. But I'll have to wait and see what's going on

I don't want to come across as a VAST fanboy...but please don't buy an ASP anything.

they have a HORRENDOUS reputation in the B5/6/7 S4 community. They're banned from half the forums out there.

New guys (and young guys alike) like you get hosed by them all the time.

Here...loads of ASP fail from tunes that DESTROY components, to STEALING tunes...they have a very checkered history.

ASP tune causes problems; ASP downpipes TORCHED after 6 months - NO SUPPORT from ASP

ASP tuned car wont start.

More need help from ASP and don't get it.

More bad unsafe ASP tunes

More Bad ASP exhaust work

more people left stranded

If you go and find ANY threads where VAST has fukt people over...left them with bad products...STOLEN from other tuners...I'll shut up . Until then just recognize you can't go wrong with them, and they're also a 3 hr drive from you, so that's a huge bonus.

But dude...ASP is a SCAM. Go read those threads.

p.s. what catback group buy are you worrying about?

Agreed there are other more reputable options than ASP and you should consider other options. Years ago there was a long standing debate over who stole who's ECU code and ASP was often mentioned.

B5 StageIII parts are available from many retailers. Along with VAST / JHM / etc, Mike at PureMS is good for package deals when purchasing alot of parts. Clay at CTS Turbo in Western Canada is good for the Turbo Kits. Greg at SSP Tuning http://www.ssptuning.com is an excellent ECU Programming resource including remote fine tune support by plugging your car into the Internet.

Are you doing any work yourself or are you looking for one shop to provide parts and perform all labor for you?

I bought my turbos from cts. Thanks for the info on ssp, I'll look in to it. My brother owns a shop here in Toronto, so he will be doing all the labour for me. But i have a friend who has a shop, he will program my ecu.

The group buy I was talking about is the vortex and audizine cat back group buy that was there in may. Do you think I should go ahead with the install and put on the cat back later (I am gutting my precats). Or just wait for it to arrive?

Cat back can be done anytime as it's same labor either way. Sooner is better if you plan on 20+lbs of boost.
