2001 audi s4
hey fellow audi enthusiasts,
i bought my first car, a 2001 audi s4, a few months back... haven't had any problems with it yet, so no complaints whatsoever!
i had a few questions hopefully some of you might be able to help me answer:
a) is an aftermarket warantee worth it?? i'm at approx 123 500km and the belts, water pump, etc. haven't been changed yet.
b) is it worth chipping and upgrading the intake and exhaust?
hope all of you are enjoying your audis as much as i'm enjoying mine. thanks in advance to those who take the time to reply.

Re: 2001 audi s4
hi fambino
when I purchased my s4 2 years ago from the audi delership i was convinced, because it was from audi i didnt need the warranty with all the inspections they do. The 6 grand i spend on warranty was worth every penny. My warranty will be ending on september now and i must have watched at least 9-10grand on parts go in 2 years and that does not include turbos so yes... the point of the story s4's are money pits so get as much help as you can... but also have fun with it. and dont chip your car unless you want to replace your turbo's i never chipped mine but yet already have 3 speeding tickets they are fast enough

Re: 2001 audi s4
aftermarket warranty may not cover the turbos.. nobody i know here in calgary has any form of aftermarket warranty
replace your timing belt ASAP!!! at 123 its probably ready to snap.. should have been changed around 90-100 max
a chip is great.. it actually aids in better mileage (when you drive nice)
APR is a worth every penny for me
get a boost gauge too.. worth every penny for diagnostics and just to aid in car care/mileage
get the awe vent one.. looks oem.. works great
intake is worthless so don't bother
exhaust is worth it.. downpipes even more
i have fully gutted piggie pipes and an APR catback and love it.
