Called up Newmarket: Mittler Motors and they quoted me for a loaded chip (APR) 750 dollars. Is that a good price?

 

which program are you getting tho?

i called up h2sport and they told me that stage 1+ would cost me 1200 or so. 500 for the program 500 for the injectors

 

ya 750 is a little much. its 499 at h2sport and thats for 2 programs...if you go with 4 i think its another 150...injectors for the +1 are 150 each but they might give you a deal if you buy them with the chip.

 

how much and what do i need for the loaded chip for the 225 TT and what will it give me?

 

My car is starting to make a lot of odd sounds.

The most prevalent ones recently have been:

1. When accelerating, I hear tinking or clunking sound when just starting to accelerate, then after going faster 10 km/h it's fine afterwards

2. Also when accelerating, I hear what sounds like a metal on metal griding or low pitched squeaking sound, and also at the lower speeds when just starting to accelerate

These sounds worry me, and I have no idea what causes them and they're not readily reproducible, so I can't bring it into a shop to diagnose.

Has anyone had any similar sounds?

99.5 A4 1.8TQ standard tranny

 

Just got a quote for a GIAC stage 1+ from pfaff tuning today for 649 with install. I also got a quote for a stasis catback/downpipe with 3.5 inch free flowing exh. for 1499 with install. Can someone tell me if that is a good deal? I like how the stasis sounds.
