Re: Audi A4 Avant 2.5 TDI (120 KW) or BMW 330d Touring
The New S4 V8 4.2 is naturally aspirated and universally greeted with
delight. and in everyday all condition driving will be quicker and safer
than the M3.
There needs to be no rain, good tarmac surfaces for the M3's on the limit
handling and will probably be the better track car for sideways on action
etc. but we don't drive in these conditions generally so the S4 V8 is the
better car.
IMHO.
One minor gripe is that the S4 V8 is a little too understated and needs Audi
to get their act together with new wheel designs. Other than that it's a
peach and the Avant looks the business too.
Gez.
Also the A4 Quattro TDI 180 BHP SPORT is one hell of a car as is the 330d
Beemer but in the end I'd choose the Audi because of the image problem
around the Beemer, Audi says something different about you.

Whereas the BMW has a "sort" of reputation. THere are very few cars that I
would give a second look at when buying.
Ford - if the designs were better and the cars were bigger.
Rover - when they get rid of the jelly mould shape.
Mercedes - nice car but easily mistaken for a taxi
Jaguar ---- Takes a lot of beating now especially with the V8 engines (4.2) and
the revamped transmission etc..... My next car I think
Audi -- no thanks --------------- the choice is BMW or Jaguar if you haven't
looked yet!
