There is a $2500 cash rebate if you lease through a 3rd party. So, if you can get a lease deal that has the option to buy out early without penalty or other hidden fees, you should be able to save a lot more than $1000 - paying cash. I am working on this type of deal at the moment...

This is correct! However, what will that lease's company's fees be for doing this? What interest rate will they charge you? How much of the $2,500 will be left after all this? I hope you don't think they'll do it for free!

I expect to pay at least $500...so $2000 would be better than $0. As I am learning, there may be some pain in the butt work too, having to get it re-safetied to buy it out, etc...

Have you done a deal like this Afretes?

Or, would you recommend another method for getting a better deal paying cash?

I am very happy with Pfaff Audi, I actually got the first month's payment back from the promotion. This is a great display of honesty to me on the dealer's part as they could have kept the money without me ever asking for it.

D.NGUYEN, would you mind to tell me what kind of deal you have? I try to minimize the price negotiation time.

Not true. Depends on model, options etc. Too many BMW fans try to compare a 335 xi to the A4, but really, they are not even in the same ball park price wise. Start comparing apples to apples. S line series rocks. BMW's eat more gas, and interiors cannot even come close. Still, it's a matter of personal taste.

i was referring to the lease residual 41% vs 48% on 48month on a A4 2.0T vs a 328 which is apples to apples

putting 7% more into a car that you might not buyout isn't the greatest selling point as much as i would like to get an audi

on the other hand, test drove the Q5 today and i'm leaning torwards that over the A4
