Default A5 passenger mirror in reverse

Traded my 2008 A4 Avant for a 2011A%. Find that the passenger mirror barely moves when in reverse. The A4 moved enough to see the curb. Also have a 2011 Q5 and it also moves to show the curb. Anyone else have an A5 with the same problem?

I just picked up a new B8 A4. Same thing. My 2008 A4 mirror moved down significantly. the 2011, you barely notice it. In fact, if I didn't actually see it move, I wouldn't have known it actually moved.

What I do now when parking in tight spots: I manually move the mirror down.... then press the seat memory, and everything returns back to original location.

The other thing missing: electric folding mirrors (not even an option on my car)

The mirror in my 2011 A4 definately moves down enough for me to see the curb. I don't have anything to compare it too though.

I think it only moves when you have the selector turned to that side rather then leaving it in the center position.
