I rode in the back of my friends 2003 Avant last weekend on a 5 hour drive. 4 grown guys in the car, and I'm 6'3". It's not ideal, but was relatively comfortable.
Hope that helps a bit. Good luck on your hunt.

Thanks for the replys. I have still not pulled the trigger, Have my eyes on the Q5, A6, BMW X5 and Lexus RX350.

My heart is with the A4 though, so I am still thinking.

BTY pulled the trigger on an A6, decided I did need the room extra room. I had an a4 for a 2 days as a loaner. Nice, but glad I grabbed the A6

I wish, but out of my budget. I picked up a very low Km (16K) 2008 S-sline that was nicely optioned. Paid less for it than my last Accord.

great pick!!! I was trying to get an '05 A6 from my parents but they wouldn't budge on the cost and I got my '06 A4.... I do manage with 3 adults - all woman in the back, with the one who is only 5 foot tall in the middle seat .... we do road trips to muskoka with those three and my gf in the front no problem, I still would like to grab an A6 avant sometime or Q7

16k is ridiculously low KM! Great find, it sounds like a great deal!

So far so good, an 09 might have been nice, as Like the lamps a bit better, but I am going love this car for 3-5 years, and then see what is out there - maybe 2012

Watch out for the carbon buildup on the 3.2FSI.
