Low pressure oil light / engine stalled

Hello , I was driving and the low pressure oil light came on . Before I had a chance to pull over , engine stalled and the car didn't start anymore . Temperature never went up . What's happening ? ...anybody can help explaining this ?

sounds like a oil pump failure...had same problem on mine.oil wasnt getting pumped so it created a cell for low pressure.cost me 800 dollars at the dealer to fix. find someone who can do it for less that knows volks -audi.
