Like most of us you will develop a love affair with it. Then you will get the mod bug.

I just found this forum and it is very helpful. All I can tell you is that I bought a 1999 Audi A4 1.8 turbo in 2004 for around 9,000.00. It had about 86,000 miles on it. Everybody tried to talk me out of it but I really liked the car. Well, 7 years later and after 427,750 miles, I finally let it go. It was still running , getting me to work every day at around 256 miles a day but it was past it's time. Besides suspension parts, the only major part I had to replace was the turbo and that was after 250,000 miles. I just replaced it with a 2008. the most important aspect is change the oil every 5000 miles. I love Audi's.

Greetings. I have a 2006 A4 2.0T Avant that is bone stock. It had 88,000km when I purchased it last year. It's been great so far, no modifications are done to it yet and it has been very reliable. Remember that Audis are a lot more finicky compared to domestic manufacturers, but in the end you get a far better vehicle. You should always stick to approved parts and don't go cheap on service. I say go for it, just be sure to do a pre-purchase inspection. BCAA offers this service.
