Default 2006 Audi A4 2.0T Avant

Here are pics of one of my Audis. My A4 is bone stock yet it will slay my A6 as if it were standing still. It handles far better and has more comfortable seats, but the A6 has a far better highway cruiser and it's 30V V6 is silky smooth compared to the 2.0T FSI four banger. Anyways, enjoy the pics as they were taken shortly after I purchased it last year. They were taken around Coquitlam and West Vancouver.

Nice looking car! Make sure you check the cam follower and replace if necessary. Part of me wishes I would have bought an Avant.

Thanks! I'm totally unfamiliar with the 2.0T engine. I've been spending most of my time and resources into upkeep on my A6. I'll have to do a search and see what this thing is all about.

I specifically purchased an Avant because my A6 doesn't have the versatility that a wagon would have. Although my A6 has more overall room, the flexibility you have when you have a wagon is great.

yeah I hear you there, I've regretted getting my sedan A4 since last year when I got a new puppy, my girlfriend and I aren't sure how to go camping anymore since he's much bigger this year and we have the sedan. I'd love to trade my 3.2, but I'd only get a 2.0T because there aren't enough 3.2 wagons to get a semi-fair trade/+cash..... but then I'd be lost in the 2.0 engine! can't be much different from my dads 99 1.8T and my sisters 04 1.8T? can it? yeah they are totally different

I never spent enough time behind an A4 1.8T but the A4 2.0T is a world of difference and an immensely better car overall. I haven't heard much about the 3.2 motors, but I know a lot of the other A6 guys say the 3.0 30V motor was an absolute piece of junk. Either way, having both a wagon and a sedan is great.

I heard mixed on the 3.0 engines, but the 3.2 is strong from what I can tell, no timing belts, just a chain which does get loose slightly from time to time (lol) but not a common problem, worst thing is the carbon issues

good to know the 2.0T is a better engine overall, I'm yet to drive one with quattro, the dealer gave me a 2.0T A3 Frontrac as a loner last year :\ so much front tire spin after driving quattro all the time

Nice photos...I have your sister car here in Quebec...same colour, rims etc. Love to see how clean the West Coast cars are!! I'm originally from Victoria and winters here are so hard on cars...nice to see your front end with no rock chips!! Not sure what the rules are in BC concerning tint however it looks great with the titainium grey!

Thanks! I love Quebec. The first time I visited Quebec City I fell in love. It was many years ago. Being in Quebec was like a trip back in time. Cobblestone streets and heritage homes. Absolutely lovely. I would like to take a trip back east eventually. When I retire I will probably live in Quebec City and visit Montreal regularly. Some really good restaurants in Montreal as well. The culture in Quebec is also very different from the West Coast and even the Prairie Provinces. What a beautiful country we live in!

The winters in Vancouver aren't anywhere near as hard as in Winnipeg, where I lived for many years. And it's good you left Victoria, that city is going downhill fast!

The car isn't actually tinted, although it may look that way. Rules here in British Columbia are simple. Nothing on the front windows, and whatever tint you like in the rear. I'm going to be tinting my A6 this weekend, 20% front and 5% rear. I'll be posting pics in the A6 C5 forum later on.

Thanks for the comments, hope the weather is treating you well in Quebec.
