how would you know which one is bad without vagcom'in it? just take them all off and compare?
I read some codes last night and i was getting afew misfires, could this be from a coil pack ready to go? mostly cyl 1. during idle.
i have a 2001 s4

Best thing to do would be to read the code. If you're in a pinch though what you can do is pull each one while the engine is running and when you pull one and your engine sounds even worse (it'll be running on effectively 2 cyl), that one is ok, when you pull one and it makes no difference to the noise you have the culprit.
