Shop around, it's worth it.

Sure glad I did not get a 3.0 engine. Makes me wonder how much it will cost on my 06 S4 4.2L !!!

I think I'll sell it before it gets time to do it.

mmazerolle: I've talked to 4 companies and they are all quoting me the same price (give or take 10%). As far as doing it myself, I'm a technical nincompoop. I take my car to the mechanic to change light bulbs....

I meant it as a joke.... have you seen the pics ? It's not a DIY job.

And... the 06 S4 4.2 has a chain, not a belt. Good news for me.

I feel for you.... it's a lot of money.

Good luck

LOL, yeah I just looked at the link. That looks like crazy work, and yeah, it's a lot of money. But as they saying goes "You've got to pay, if you want to play"

Boshch was also an OEM manufacturer for audi, im am baffled that its listed as aftermarket. I would not worry about bosch its a good company.

yes $1400 sounds about right for a 3.0.
And it's ok to go with bosch.
They are good quality brand.

Thanks guys. I'm going to go with the Bosch parts, I agree they are a quality product and as Genekam said, I wouldn't be surprised if the OEM parts are actually Bosch parts.

Have a great weekend guys! My bro's on this forum rock!!

Yeah godo choise. Chances are your headlights are bosch, and a **** load of other parts when i get my car lifted are either audi parts from germany, fufi for steering, and bosch for a load of other stuff.
