OWASCO: You've got to love them...NOT!
Last May, while under warranty, my sound system was not working rigth: the boys at OWASCO said that they fixed it... was just not good enough: no AM and FM was just bad: CD player was fine!
The warranty expired, and now that I have the VAG-COM and the "Bentley" I looked into the problem:
$350 later and 10 minutes of labour I replaced the cracked "Antenna Control Unit" a.k.a the "Booster" in the rear window, top, behind the driver seat... and the radio is GREAT now!
Maybe I should set-up in competition with OWASCO: I am better at it, cheaper rates...

OWASCO definitely does not have mechanics... or good ones at least!
I figure if OWASCO can make money at it, imagine two guys who know what they are doing and go about it honestly: it is what the industry needs... the customers too, and the two guys will be making a good living at it!
