I need help deciding on an audi a4 to buy. I would like to know your opinion. I am deciding between a 2001 audi a4 2.8l quattro or a 2003 3.0l quattro. Which one is the better car disregarding kms and price. Just mechanically speaking? I won't be doing alot of modding just maybe the rims/tires and audio stuff. I am more looking for reliability.

 

They're both good cars. Reliability-wise I'd say they are quite similar (family has a 2.8 and I myself have a 3.0). Obviously there's more power from the 3.0, but the B6 is a heavier car than the B5. It is also a more rigid car than the B5. Overall I prefer my B6 to the B5. Honestly, it comes more down to preferences: does one look better to you than the other? Test drive both and see which one fits your driving style better too.
