I got a problem with my car. 2003 A4 1.8T. Had the Turbo installed last month at the dealer along with the adjustment of the timing belt because they said it was unbalanced. Anyway, I feel like the turbo is not kicking in, it kicks in and then cuts off for some reason.
Investigated the problem and found that the engine gets really hot...So I changed the Catalytic system and put a whole custom made pipe on the car. Still no power as much as it should be.
Also noticed some coolant leaking from the turbo pipe. Can anyone advise if it's just a shitty turbo that the dealer installed or something else

 

Well you said that the dealer installed the turbo so i would go back and tell them to look at it. You payed the extra money for them to do the work so get them to look at it again if you are not happy with the pick up. as for the coolant leak i would have to say it is a washer or seal that was not put on proper so it is now leaking a little bit.

I would take it back to teh dealer and get them to look at it as it should have come with a garantee
