loud hising noise coming from Turbo
Hi people,
I am new to this forum , I have an 03 audi a4 1.8t, and previously when I start the car in the morning, it sounds like it will take off. lound noise coming from the engine, but then it would go back to normal.
Today, while driving the car the noise got louder and louder that it attracts the attention of the pedestrians. It would be when i am accelerating, and it would die out ( cut off to be exact) when I step on the gas.
tonight driving home, while on the QEW i could feel that the car didn't have alot of power, and the turbo wasnt kicking in. just the loud noise again.
anyone know what it could be.? how much am I in for?

if it sounds anything like a dentists drill, looks like a blown turbo. or could be one of you inlets is cracked. But either way sense you dont feel like you getting boost its turbo issue. I suggest taking it in to the shop asap!!!!

I had the same thing happen to me. Did the check engine light come on?
For me i had to keep the revs really high so i could drive the car. Turns our there was a vacuum leak.
I think it was call a brake vacuum booster valve that i had to replace

so waht is it, if its turbo, i sugest you get a k04 upgrade its not that much more but alot more power in the car and higher resell value. 
but thtas going to be alot of money.

It was a blown turbo according to the dealer. will cost 2.088 ouch!!
called a few independant mechanics and they quoted me 1900 $ with a rebuilt turbo. Thought should do it at the dealer just in case goes awry later on.

yeah bro, check independent tuning and h2sports bro. I recommend getting a turbo upgrade while you at it. It wont be much more then that, and if you resell the car, you can get some nice price for it after. And the extra power is very nice.
