My 1.8 is leaking coolant (see pic) from the front of the engine. It seems to be running down off the belt pulleys but does not really seem to be coming out from there. Are there any known sources that would leak from that area and is this a major fix?? I would love any suggestion. This does have Quattro about 216K did timing belt and water pump within a couple months.

PS The liquid is clear because I have been refilling the reserve with water. I know it should be red.

 

Maybe something not right with the work done -pump leaking or a hose clip loose?
Split pipe . Try to acertain exactly where the fluid is coming from
