Can 03 audi a4 quattro 3.0 tow a tent trailer?

 

Class 1 hitches rated to 2000 lbs available for the B6. There are folks around that two motorcycles etc on their trailer. Isn't something I would do on a regular basis - what is the weight of your tent trailer and what sort of hills are you wanting to travel over.

 

1300lbs. No hill just camp sites

 

1300lbs dry/no gear? What does it weigh with all your gear, water, batteries, propane, etc.? I've looked at trying this with both my A4 and my Jetta TDi and as you start approaching 2000lbs you run into needing things like transmission coolers, trailer brakes, etc. Once you start down that path you might as well look at vehicles designed for towing.
