Default 2002 Audi A4 Door Sensor help

hey gusy, so i have a 2002 audi a4 3.0 quattro and it works perfectly except for yesterday i closed my driver door and turned my car on and i kept hearing this annoying beep so i checked and it said my driver door was open ? i checked and this was not true so i took it to a repair shop and they said i have to replace the whole latch is there anyting else i can do?

Do you want it fixed or to stop beeping? If you want it fixed, you need to replace the latch. Or you can disconnect it.

yeah the disconnect is easiest the latch isn't that much for the part ( I'm assuming) and door latch replacements pretty straightforward.

Having the same problem - how can I disconnect the sensor?
