Default Trunk lock

I need some help my trunk refuses to open it worked all the time Wen I unlocked it from inside the car and just go to the back and push the **** but I put the key in and it didn't open now it won't open even after all the combinations to unlock it? Is there sumn wrong with the lock or something

The exact same thing happened to me. For 3 years the trunk lock wouldn't work with the key, and only with the vaccum (interior or locks on the keyfob), and one day it stopped working altogether.

Then it started to work again, I thought great (but didn't bother replacing it) and now I'm back to using my rear seats as trunk access.

Seems the lock was a faulty design they made a replacement you can try to source a used one or get an Audi mechanic to unlock it which I had done he took down the interior took out the mechanism unplugged the vacuum hose and turned it back there are a few things I missed but now it's unlocked I dare not use my key tho
