if you don't want to spark fisticuffs, you could always turn on your windshield cleaner...it always shoots spray on the car following. If it's a clean freak, it'll drive him nuts to get his car waterspotted.
HEY! No telling anyone about that. I HATE it when the car in front washes it's windows just after I have cleaned the car lol.

Well.. this is what I am praying to see tomorrow in the mountains. I just want to see the face of the guy when he has to press on his brakes on the first curve on the ice.
First I will see it in front of me and than in the rear view mirror.

This is such a pep peeve of mine, I am definately going to try the water spray trick. I usually just wait until I am approaching a stop and gear down so that the car slows down just enough for the tailgater to notice that I slowed down without the brakes and they lay right off. of course I would rather not try this as one of these days its going to get me rear ended.

That's my standard tactic. Pennies and other misc junk start going out the sunroof.

Water spray works but it costs you $1.00 per occurence.

The ladies like to be sprayed and do not take it as offence, I noticed so if you know how you may benefit from it.
