Just got some 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 staggered wheels for a 99 A4 1.8t quattro...Question is what is the BEST tire setup for this???....yes i've heard all the talk etc from DON'T do staggered on a quattro etc etc...but i do believe if u run the same diameter closest thru-out it will be not a problem what so ever. Can anyone pls help, wanting to buy them soon. Been told to do 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 so far what else????

 

Seems like 235/40/18 Front and 265/35/18 rear is also has pretty close rotation ratio too. I use tiredepot's site.

Just out of curiosity, what's the benefit of a staggered setup on an AWD car?

 

Just because it's AWD doesnt mean u cant yeild the benifits of a wider rear, it would just take a bit more to spin out ur backside
