Depends on the Torque Curve too. A 2.7T with buckets of low end torque does not need to hit redline for max power at every shift, especially in lower gears.

 

you dont have to red-line it to drive it hard...
but take into consideration that these cars are designed for autobahn, unlinke american and chinese cars

If I had a better budget I'd be rolling in an 07 or 08. $3G in maintenance is still a heck of a lot cheaper than $40G for a new car.
