Getting Old

Getting Old
Fellow community,
My baby has just passed 70,000 KM.
Every time I think about it, I don't want to drive longer distances because I want to "preserve" my car.
Every time I get behind the wheel, I don't want to stop driving.

Re: Getting Old
70 000 km is INCREDIBLY low. When buying mine, I didn't once come across one anywhere close to that. Maybe around double. And that was after about 6 months of shopping.
Having a girlfriend living 4 hours away meant that I put 50 000 on mine in the first year. My 00 A4 is currently at 236 000.
I don't think you have much to worry about!
Alex.

Re: Getting Old
If you can believe it when I was looking for my 2001 a couple years ago, there was a silver 2000 1.8TQM non sport at Capilano Audi with 23000km on the clock. It was so tempting as they were asking less than the 2001. Alas it was the wrong color so I went with what I really wanted at 97000km 1.8TQM sport with cloth seats and got the timing belt done within a couple months.

Re: Getting Old
97 000 is still extremely low. Congrats (both of you) on finding cars in such great shape.
The 23 000 car is unreal. Although, at that low, I'm sure thing would need to be replaced simply because they got old, and were never used.

Re: Getting Old
Cyber: at 23000KM the car isn't even broken in... Would have definately gone with the same car you chose!
Jordon: Sadly, mine's not an S4 nor is it a manual. I still love my car tho.

Re: Getting Old
Are you kidding me?
That's like brand new!
I put over 400k on my 1996 (B5 V6) A4 before I sold it. (and it was still going)
Then my 2001 A4 (B5 V6); clocked 350K on the odometer.
Currently 2004 S4, just about hit 150k currently. (not that this is a mileage war
