Default ignition key the engine

I removed the battery from the car 2 months ago because I was not using the car.
The battery was kept in the garage on a trickle charger. When I reinstalled the battery every thing works but the car will not start. When you turn the ignition key the engine turns over once and stops. Can I fix this myself or will I have to pay a dealer to fix it. I have done several other repairs on this car my self. Any help would be appreciated. I think it is caused by the security system.

The engine cranking once and stopping is almost always an immobilizer issue after a long battery disconnect. The car isn’t recognizing the key, so it allows a brief crank and then cuts fuel. Try this first: fully charge the battery, lock and unlock the car with the remote, then insert the key and leave it in the ON position for 10–15 minutes before starting. If you have a spare key, try that as well. If it still won’t start, the immobilizer and ECU need to be re-synced with a scan tool. That can’t be done manually, so you’ll need a dealer or a specialist.
