Stasis notifies Audi of all the cars they mod so your car doesn't need to be hooked up to the scanner to be marked TD1. Audi already has your VIN from Stasis.

Yeah I haven't sat down and discussed the with the dealer about TD1... I think I've read every forum on Audizine now and it seems that a lot of people are having TD1 issues. I personally cannot justify getting a brand new car tuned anymore unless I have a contract in writing from the dealer specifying that they will fix my car regardless.

For the record the Stasis touring package switches out your exhaust, suspension, ECU and wheels + Rubber.

In Canada the package costs about 9-11k at the dealer.

yeah, the package is maybe the worst deal ever. I'd avoid Stasis like the plague frankly.

First thing I'd do if I were you is...get a new username lol.

I've had the Stasis tune on the S4 for about 15 months now, no problems or issues, great upgrade and there won't be any warranty denial either. I'd happily show any stock B8 the taillights, no matter what's in the tank.

Agreed....my 2011 A5 has been perfect and I haven't had any warranty issues on anything I have had it in for. Owned it 11 months now.

Read through the audizine forums. As soon as someone that has a Stasis ECU flash gets their engine replaced under warranty I will be have my vehicle tuned. I don't doubt that the product is great and technically shouldn't cause harm, but I do think once your car has a TD1 flag your power train warranty is gone.

I put my order in for a 2013 S4 two weeks ago so I have some time to wait and see how it plays out. (End of July/Early Aug delivery date)

We've had a 1.8T Jetta, Audi A4, Audi A3 and now the S4. All were chipped and the dealers knew about all of them, especially the S4 since the dealer delivered the car with the tune. Although I don't get on the forums as much as I used to, I've yet to hear of anyone that has had a mechanical failure/warranty denial because of tuning. It seems to be just speculation by some. Not sure why.

i"m not doubting your Audi ownership history, or your choice to tune your vehicle(s).

There has been a couple guys who have been totally f'ed by the new flagging procedures. I was originally set on the full package, but after reading into it there have been quite a few people who have been completely denied coverage (even on known vehicle issues) because of ecu flashes, and even intakes (without an ECU flash).

Well you've done extensive research, more so than myself and are in a good position to make your decision. I'm very comfortable with the Stasis tune and warranty coverage for my vehicle. I'm surprised and disappointed to hear of others who aren't being looked after. I guess the game has changed.

game has changed...Stasis Audi dealers can no longer defraud Audi Canada (or USA etc.).

The cars are scanned by the dealer and that info is sent automatically to Audi for review. Before paying out (or approving) any warranty work, they will check the parameters of the scan to ensure everything is stock. if it's not, and even if the previous owner had done stuff to the car that was removed...you may be looking at warranty denial.

Previously the dealer would tell Audi 'yup, the car is stock' and Audi would ok it. Not anymore. Now you need Stasis to pay your bill...but good luck getting them to cough up a penny. They'll demand that you PROVE that their mod caused the problem.

Well...their mod DID cause the problem...the problem being the voiding of your warranty! BUt being able to do the work required to prove their tune parameters caused damage to your car is going to be far too expensive. Sucks.
