Default Stasis keeps original car parts?

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently looking at ordering a 2013 S4 with the Stasis touring package.

I've been in contact with quite a few dealers across Canada and they all seem to be on the same page about stasis products.

Supposedly if you buy a new vehicle with a stasis package they keep all the original parts that are taken off, and it costs the same price??

You would think that if they were to take your exhaust, springs etc they would at least give you a discount on the package??

I didn't even realize you can have the stasis package directly from a dealer. You can always buy the car as is and have the stasis package installed after and keep all the parts.

Yeah it's weird...

The lady i've been dealing with got back to me yesterday and said that I could keep them if I want, but most people don't.

From everything that i've heard the dealers install everything themselves but send the ECU away to get flashed (~6 day turn around).

This is very strange. My dealer told me flashed ECU can void warranty. Make sure non of this impact warranty.

I'm sure it does void the warranty if something terrible happens, but the dealers in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver all actively promote Stasis products and ECU flashes. Each one of them have a Stasis show vehicle on their floor ECU flashed.

All of the sales people I've talked to state that it works in line with Audi's warranty.

I've read tons of forums and people say that Audi isn't on board with Stasis at all and they are probably correct.

I cannot imagine a dealer not fixing your vehicle under warranty if they sell you a pre-flashed brand new car.. I don't care if Audi doesn't fix it as long as the dealer does. Every person I've talked to at the Dealerships agree so why not!

Stasis just purchased REVO tuning and there is talk that the underwhelming Stasis 91 file will be "upgraded" shortly.
for the money you can get a better tune and exhaust for less money - i encourage you to got to audizine and start the research.
I went GIAC for my tune, no exhaust plans, but I did install the Alu Kreuz (best $500 mod) stabilizer. I do plan to get the AWE stage II pulley to go with the GIAC tune when they make it available.
if you are ever in calgary give a little notice and I can take you for a spin.

I have been researching them quite a bit.

I'm not really looking for a crazy tuned car, I think the underwhelming stasis tune would be perfect for me.

Where in Calgary did you take your car? I'm actually heading back to Calgary on the 22nd. (Trading our Rav4 for a Sequoia)

What part of Calgary do you live in?

Bought the car from Glenmore Audi (BTW buy from Vancover because there are NO deals to be had in AB) tune done at Tunerworks for $1250 and the Alu Kreuz cost me $450 incl shipping and duty from Eurocode and another $120 to install. the pulley is last mod I plan for the car

I am in the south by Heritage and MacLeod - PM if you want to meet up but sundays are usually taken by family.

Sounds good!!

I originally was planning on buying from Van because I thought I would be able to avoid paying the HST. I bought a house last year in Fort St. John, and live/work most of the time in FSJ BC. (Paid taxes last year in BC)

I used to travel back to Calgary every Month, but now I hardly come back. I've kept my vehicles registered to my parents place in Calgary, and pay AB insurance.

I had to get a BC drivers license for work so even though I am going to register them in AB, I will not be able to get back the extra 7%. This makes up for the difference.

I've talked with Glenmore/Royal Oak in Calgary and they seem to inflate their prices. They have S4's listed online for 78,000..... How do you price a vehicle out on Audi Canada for 63,000 then have to pay 78,000 at the dealership!?

I phoned and one of the workers said that "They forgot that the online car comes with extra winter tires and rims + these little bullshit extras...."

Southgate in Edmonton seems to be a lot better...

Fully Load Stasis S4 touring in Calgary sold for 88,500..... Southgate is about 78,000... Capilano in Van was 74,000....

what is the stasis touring package?

also has anyone heard from Stasis regarding TD1?

Audi's TD1 policy states that if you are tuned, they will see it when they scan it, and will deem your powertrain warranty void (this doesn't matter if its APR, REVO or STASIS...and doesn't matter if your dealer is 'cool' or 'mod-friendly' as it is out of their hands...it's a scan that Audi requests before reimbursing the dealership for any warranty work).

Stasis says they will warranty your car if the dealer/Audi does not if the tune causes the problem. Well if your trans blows for some weird reason, but you are tuned, Audi won't fix your trans (because your warranty is voided)...and if I were a betting man neither will Stasis (they'll only fix it if their tune directly caused it). But to a certain extent...their tune DID cause the problem (the voided Audi powertrain warranty).

The warranty thing with stasis has lots of people confused...just to clarify, AUDI HAS NO RELATIONSHIP WITH STASIS. They do not support Stasis in any way, and a Stasis tune will void your warranty just like any other tune would/will.

If I was buying a b8 S4, I wouldn't bother with Stasis' tune. It is marginally better than a stock B8 S4 (based on real world results, not Stasis marketing) and forces you to run 91. I'd put $10 that a stock B8 S4 on Petro Can 94 would hold its own vs. a Stasis tuned car on 91 (there's only a 91 file with Stasis).
