A3 Coolant warning message...
Hey everyone! I've got a 2009 A3 and for a couple of days now when I startup, the "turn off the engine and verify coolant" warning comes up. I verified the level and it shows that it's a milimeter below the MIN line. I then looked for any visible leaks, but couldn't find any.
Is it normal for the TFSI engine to eat up coolant?
I've heard that the engine is oil hungry, but coolant?
Anyhow, my question to the all-knowing forum members is can I purchase the necessary G12 coolant anywhere other than my dealer? Perhaps you guys can suggest a trusted online source to buy stuff like this?
Thanks in advance!
Davis

No one? Wow! Anyway, for those want to know. I went to the dealer and picked-up a gallon of G12 coolant when I really only needed a cup full. I asked if their service department could just give a cup's worth...and they said NAY...
It costs about $27.00 for a gallon of that pink stuff (at the dealer)...
Happy Holidays to all my Audi peeps!
