Engine Noise Help
A few minutes after doing a quick run through first and second, I was driving around "normally" and i thought i heard some sort of "clink" noise but i'm not sure. then ther was this sound. never heard it before and the car still seems to run perfectly fine. no codes for it. any one know what the sound is? seems to be coming from the back of the engine. pretty sure its not the oil, did that a month ago with no problems since. there was a small coolant drip but that i believe was the after-run pump? possibly that or something worse?

Re: Engine Noise Help
My car was ticking too, i had bent a valve and then it dropped in the cyl.
sounds similar :-s
Confirm by pressure testing each cyl. Would be very weary driving if it is as repairing it now vs after you drop a valve is a huge difference

Re: Engine Noise Help
I don't want to scare you...but stop driving your car until you have the timing belt and all adjusters checked.
I had a VERY similar noise after driving to work and I had my car towed home. I ripped apart the front end to check the timing belt after reading some forum postings and lo and behold, the timing belt tensioner had ceased up and was no longer tensionning the timing belt. The belt was on the verge of jumping a tooth (or ten).
Take it apart or get it towed and checked.
