Any Montreal Area Memebers Lowered Their SQ5/Q5?
Hello Everyone,
I am wondering if anyone in the Montreal area has lowered their SQ5 or Q5 and if so, what did you use and how is the ride?
I am considering lowering my SQ5 around 35MM but I hesitate given the poor quality of the roads in the Montreal area. The SQ5's ride, particularly on the 21s, is firm to begin with, so I don't want to do anything that will make it significantly firmer.
I have read up as much as I can on the options (springs, coilovers, etc) and asked a few shops their thoughts on the matter. I've received differing opinions on what to use (H&R sport springs are most commonly recommended) and differing opinions on how much of an impact it would have on the ride.
So, if anyone out there has done it and can share some unbiased feedback, it would be greatly appreciated!

Would recommend a matching shock/strut as well. The lowered spring will compress your oem shocks/struts and put them in a zone where their rebound will introduce bounce. I used bilstein b8s along with H&R sport springs. Just installed last week. For the 1st drive post install I could only say wow and the smile hasn't worn off. I highly recommend this combo and did my fair share of research to finally narrow the choices down to this. Am running 20" wheels with 275/40 rubber. Very comfortable sporty ride.
