Default Wheel Spacers

Did a search, no luck. most topics ask w/ wheel upgrades

I want to keep my A3 as stock as possible. i dont want to upgrade the wheels(YET) but i do want a more aggresive look

Q:Any one have experience with spacers?
What size spacer you recommend? (Front and Back), Brands?
Suppliers?
Will i need to do a alignment?
Ebay Spacers?
a quick google search took me straight to ebay. any advice in that field?
also are the prices reasonable on ebay?

I don't have any experience with A3's, but I ran 15mm spacers front and back on my s4 this summer which is quite aggressive. Look on Audizine under the A3 section and you may be able to find out the maximum spacer size for your vehicle. I would assume 10mm would be safe, but also give you the look you want.

I went with H&R, and was very impressed. Make sure you get a "hub-centric" spacer with the inner lip that sits inside the wheel. When installing you need to make sure every contact surface is perfectly clean. Also be sure to get the proper diameter for the vehicle so they will sit flush.

Any spacer over ~7mm will require longer lug bolts. Mine were installed at the same time I put on springs so I did get an allignment. I would say that you would be safe without one.
