Default Wheel Lock Key

I recently misplaced /lost? the key for the wheel lock lug on my 2005 A4. I contacted Audi, but they want $75 to get me new one, which I feel is a bit excessive. So thought I would see if I have any much more reasonable alternatives to get one. Thanks

Thanks - good idea, but I was under the impression that each (or at least many) car had a different key?? If this is the case, can I identify mine, and, then how do I find the right "friend".

Or.... you can go to the dealer, buy a new set of lock nuts and have them install them. They will have the actual key to remove your originals.

Don't know if it is cheaper, but certainly worthwhile asking.

Hammer on a slightly too small socket to take them off and replace them with regular lugs. Any wheel thief intent on getting your wheels will have them off in minutes either using the method I just suggested or by having the "key" themselves. There are only so many different kinds so it's not hard to carry the most common ones.

Or, if you want to buy a replacement key...
