^ correct.

The one on the left is for the front, the one on the right is for the rear. Keep in mind, the rear fog light only turns one light (driver side rear) on. If you have it on, it would appear like you have a busted tail light. The light output would be the same as a brake light.

Why is this..? My '04 S4 does this, but also shows the 'burnt-out light" indicator on the guage-cluster...

I also can't get any voltage reading from the rear fog-light socket on the passenger side...

^^^ Rear fog lights are manditory in Europe. So of course, being a german vehicle, it comes stock on all Audi's.

The point of the rear fog is so drivers behind you in heavy fog know which side of the car they are looking at. There is NO rear fog light on the passenger side so you will not get any voltage.

The one to the left is your DRL's or your fog lights which are your DRL's

I think the light next to the EPC symbol is the one that means your parking lights are on. On the Canadian B5/B6 that one is always on since the DRL's (foglights) are always on and the parking lights are tied into that subsystem. On a B7 with Bi-Xenons, the DRL is a bulb in the towards the centre of the car and the symbol only comes on when you switch the parking lights on. "Foglight-on" indicator is either the switch light on the original post (B5's) or a foglight symbol down by the headlight switch (B6/B7).

Seen EPC meaning Electronic Power Control in some other Audi forums.

its a shame ppl in north america don't get the rear fogs thing.... i have driven in europe extensively, and let me tell you, when going through a sudden fog on the autobahn and everyone turns on the rear fogs, it makes it a LOT easier to see where everyone is in front of you! (and you can worry a little less about being rear ended)
