Quattro ROCKS in Winter!!!
I wish I had my camera with me for my drive home from work... Calgary is getting dumped on with snow right now. I just casually drove up the hill on 19th street (fairly Steep) I had to stop on the hill but was easily able to start again with no problems. There reasons for the stop then go... The honda accord 2 cars in front of me was spinning its tires and had to pull over... A guy in a 4 matic benz was sliding backwards down the hill and nearly hit the 3 cars behind it (honda, and a 4 runner and me)... A truck with 2wd was stuck on the way up and had to move to the side and pull over and give up. This hill is only about 4-5 blocks long and it was causing a HUGE disturbance in traffic... MOST CARS and some Cute-utes were bailing out at the bottom of the hill and turning around to find alternate routes... The SUV drivers were the only ones having any success up 19th street, and me...
I know it's obvious that a 4x4 car is going to do well in the winter, it's just amazing how much better they really are... oh, and the Blizzaks dont hurt either... Equally amazing is that some people haven't figured out that Winter tires WORK...
Cheers!

I've got Blizzak LM-25 I think... Very happy with them. 2nd season on them, lots of grip, quiet, no treadwear yet. Normal daily driving prob 15k Km on 'em...
