We've been waiting for the piggybank to get fat enough, and last week we finally ordered one.

The only changes to the A4 for 2012 are some colour changes.

Of note is the inclusion of Drive Select with the Sline package. Some may like that and others may not.

We don't have a build or delivery date yet but we'll be lucky to see it before August.

St. James doesn't have any prices for the 2012 cars yet.

We'll have to get the Manitoba Audi people together for coffee and conversation some time.

Were you able to see what the moonlight blue looks like? I've read it's more gray-blue compared to the old Deep sea blue which was a very rich blue.

All we were able to see was a piece of metal with the new paint on it from the A7 information package at the dealership. We compared it to the same sized sample of the Deep Sea Blue. In shadow there's not much difference. In direct sunlight the Moonlight blue is lighter, I supposed because of the metallic vs pearlescent component. The dealer is supposed to be getting an A7 in this week in Moonlight Blue, so we can take a look at it then.

Thanks for the info. I was hesitant ordering the Moonlight blue since the dealership didn't have any paint samples at the time so I went safe with brilliant black.

Maybe snap a picture of the Moonlight Blue A7 if you get a chance.

We got a look at the A7 in Moonlight Blue. It was inside the showroom already so we couldn't see it under natural lighting accept for one corner that the sun was hitting.

While the colour is similar to Deep Sea Blue, when the sun hits it it appears quite a bit lighter because of the metal flake content.

If the colour is supposed to be what you might see in the sky during a full moon, think full moon in Toronto rather than full moon in northern Saskatchewan. It's sort of a hazy dark blue.

When ours arrives next month I'll get it cleaned up and post a few pictures.

I ordered mine around the end of may, and was told that it might arrive sometime in july or august, but i was told that it should be darker than the deep sea blue, as the salesman showed us the deep sea blue under the sun, so now i don't know if it's gonna be darker or lighter.
Please post some pics up when you get the car so i'd have an idea.

The Moonlight Blue A7 was outside today in bright sunlight. There was also a Deep Sea Blue A5 so I took some pictures of both of them.

The Deep Sea Blue has a darker, almost purplish hue compared to the Moonlight Blue

Here's where the difference really shows. Both of the following were taken looking down on the hoods with the sunlight directly behind the camera. Notice how the Moonlight Blue has much more metal flake content (first picture) than the Deep Sea Blue (second picture).

The more I see the new colour the more I'm liking it, but of course it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Thanks for posting the pictures BillR, I'm with you on liking the moonlight blue more. lol as it's not as obvious as the deepsea blue, hope u'll get ur car soon. as for me too.

Moonlight blue looks wayy better IMO.
