Default Intake Flap Manifold P2015

I just got a Intake Flap Manifold P2015 code on my car. I am trying to figure out if I should fix this myself.

I am waiting for the transfer of the extended warranty from previous owner to be processed, another week.

Can I still drive the car?I have read it is not a risk, will not have as much power and fuel economy is impacted.

Here is a DIY
DIY: Intake Flap Motor Replacement

Any advice?
Thank you

Had the same code on my 2006 A3 a few years back. The Intake Flap Manifold was replaced for around $700.00. A few month later Audi determined this was a recurring problem and issued a recall. They sent me a cheque for $700.00. I was told the vehicle is ok to drive until repaired. You just might notice a reduction iin performance and poorer gas mileage.

Langely Audi replaced the manifold under extended warrranty and also replaced drivers window motor, it died when they were cleaning car. Covered under extended warranty. Not sure what that would have cost if not covered.

I too recently got that code. I went to Audi Midtown and they confirmed it was covered under an extended warranty they had issued, (I got the letter in Aug. 2013). Everything was covered including a rental car for the day!

What actually gets replaced under this extended warranty? I had mine repaired TWICE! First at 107K KM, then at 123K KM. Both were to "replace actuator". I figured I could trust this Toronto area dealer, but they've since done some sinister work around a failed camshaft follower so I'm retracing my steps to see if they're trying to do a shoddy job on other work.

Hey Paultee,
This is exactly what the invoice I got says:
-GFF guided functions
-Intake manifold remove+reinstall
-Replace all injector seals
-Intake manifold replace
-Test drive.
Hope this helps.
