Hi all,

I'm gonna pick up my new Q5 and was wondering about purchasing the Clear Shield treatment for the front of the vehicle. Any comments at all on the product or similar one would be appreciated. Is it just another final sales tactic?

I bought mine aftermarket (don't know if it was cheaper but I chose the product I wanted and not what the dealer forced on me) and it's well worth it. Bugs, tar, rock chips and other crap are easy to clean off and it protects the paint. There's a faint line across the hood and fenders but I don't mind it. Mine hasn't yellowed or peeled - it's 6 years old now.
