Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to come on here and introduce myself to my fellow Canadian Audi-philes!
I just picked up my first Audi!! She is a 2013 A5 Premium Plus, Tiptronic, S-Line with Back-up camera, Ceramic Tints (35%) in Moonlight Blue. Utterly... ridiculously... gorgeous.
I have been a long time admirer of this car but was never sure if I was ready to pull the trigger on one. Hate to say this but, I was a bit of JDM fanboy till now.
I just sold my 2008 G37S Coupe (weekend car, bought brand new back in '0
and am trading in my 2007 Lexus IS250 DD (2nd owner).
Honestly the plan was to move to one great car which was supposed to be the Lexus IS350 AWD. Despite the majority of opinions, I happen to like the new Lexus Styling language. Unfortunately, i dont think the new IS styling is "long lasting." I think it will look old FAST!
So, out of the blue, the wife and I decided to test the Audi waters this past Saturday. Test drove a similar A5 demo to what I purchased, an S4 to understand the Supercharged 6 (holy smoke!! G37-what??) and a 6-speed A4 to feel the manual.
Big mistake to drive these cars. What a blissful yet entertaining drive they all had. All three showed their personality in such a different way. I am not looking for overwhelming power and at my stage in life (mid 30s) am really looking for a cruiser and the A5 with Tiptronic fit the bill perfectly.
It was the Adaptive Damping that really sealed the deal - amazing composure over some nasty Toronto roads while turning at a decent clip!
For now, the dealer is installing the ceramic Tint. All else will remain stock! Not a modder.
Also, will start the searches shortly but, please forgive this fool if he happens to ask a dumb question like "hey what winter tires and rims (including offsets) are you running?" Oops, did i just technically ask that!?!?!
