Default ABS and stereo cause HID headlights to flicker

Every time my ABS kicks in (snow) or I go over a bump, my HID headlights lightly flicker. I also have a subwoofer that causes the same flicker. My stereo system is very well grounded at the amp and at the battery. The power wire is the best you can get so this shouldn't be an issue.

It's obviously an electrical problem. Is my battery efficient (650cca)? Any ideas??

Thanks

Its more than likely your alternator... Bump up to 140 amp-160 amp alt.

Or buy my 3 Farad Capacitor. lol

What gauge wire are you running?

What amperage draw do you have on your amps (how big are the fuses) and then make sure the fuse on the main power wire is Larger then those fuses in your amp..

But the going over a bump could also temp me to look for a loose wire somewhere.. Balast is where i'd check first.. to me it sounds like a weak alternator.

This may seem obvious, but if it happens with vibration from the ABS and when you go over bumps perhaps it's related to vibration like a loose connection. Do both lamps do it? Is your sub rocking the whole car when it happens :>)

also, is it a stock HID system, or aftermarket?

I will check for loose wiring and the ballasts, than see about my alternator. The HIDs are stock and my stereo also makes my dashboard lighting lightly flicker.

As for my stereo specs; I have an Alpine deck accompanied by a 300W 4-channel running my speakers and a 500W mono running my 12' Type R sub. My wiring kit is a Stinger Power Series so the all wiring is 4 gauge and the fuse is 150 amp.
